To the best of my knowledge, The Blackspot Wrasse (Decodon melasma) has never been collected for live display. This species is currently being collected from the deep tropical reefs of Baja California, 40 - 160 meters (130 - 500 feet) below the surface. The Blackspot Wrasse is characterized by its bright red body, distinctive black spot on its flank, and three yellow facial stripes. More information after the jump.
