    Hello Guys

I am experiencing allot of issues with my marine set up at the moment , one which is green algae now the green hair algae i have sorted out VERY quickly by buying a sea slug type critter that simply destroys the stuff but now i am left with an algae that grows on the glass its very hard to remove and almost brownish at some places and i have tried everything I could think of so if you guys could give me some advice i would greatly appreciate it ( also a side note is that it doesn't seem to affect them at all but it is really an eye sore )

    my parameters is as follow:

    KH 7dkh
    Mag 1500
    P04 0
    NO3 0
    Cal 500

the light is on for 9 hours a day but i did cut it down now to 7 hours a day.

try a paint scraper that takes a steel razor type blade - works when all else fails .

That’s is not a problem, that’s a benefit to your aquarium for importation of some nutrients and feeds some herbivores.
If you narrow your beam of light so that it does not make contact with the glass the algae will not grow there or very slowly at worst. Clean it off regularly, if after a week or so with a razor blade, if each few days, then use a magnetic cleaner. All fixed!
It is impossible to not have algae growing on your glass, if light hits that area! That’s nature!
