So you place your mounds of expensive tropics-acquired liverock in your new tank, let it cycle and watch things start to happen.

So maybe you get an Aptasia. Or caulerpa. Not a big deal - at least, from what I understand, not the end of the world - you can still keep a tank with them in.

But what else is there, from the depths of a Lovecraftian horror, that makes you want to nuke the tank the moment you see it?

Acropora eating snails like Drupella cornis or Pascula ochrostoma, Acro eating flatworms, monti eating nudibranchs, red bugs, although these will most likely come in with corals and not on liverick.
Sundial snails and zoanthid eating spiders.

 but wait, thats not all... If you get some corals today, and dont dip and quarantine them, youll have some Amakusaplana acroporae thrown in.

I still choke to this day when i see the prices of clams at an lfs. When i lived in the tropics we used to eat rugbyball sized ones down to cigarette box sized ones. The small ones were the most tasty. Squeeze of lemon juice and chomp chomp! But then again we also speared angels and tangs that would fetch a few thousand in collectors' tanks
