I have found that I resist the temptation to put any fish in my tank every one in the tank is happy and have been a family for 2 years with no new fish friends.

I am building a bigger tank and just wanted an idea of how territorial fish are area wise? I take it not man made tank will ever be big enough? I just don't want to upset the balance of the fish as they all happy with one another.

what would be the best way to test new fish in a larger tank?

I know about night time putting them in and different types of fish and and but i am still worried dont want to sin bin any of my "family" for other fish

    howdy!
glad to see you posting again

well i normally research the fish and his habitat, and see that to what i currently have, plus when adding a new fish i float him in the tank for 20min and see what reaction i get and go from there, just before i let him loose i feed the tank and the confusion lets him go and hide.

the other trick i use is a hamster ball, works well so far, used it when introducing a new clownfish with another clown hosting, tomato clown at that too

I like the idea - I take it the fish just swims in it near the bottom? & one could get a big hamster ball
