tempered glass

    hey guys

    i want to drill the bottom of my tank but how do i know if the bottom glass is temperd

    I have the same tank and drilled it a couple of weeks ago, no problem, but I drilled a side pane, not the bottom

    You cannot dril tempered glass it will shatter,Rather drill the back panel or side thats if its not tempered.my 2c

    Is your glass 10mm or not if is not take it back it will pop

    Looks like it is one piece of glass used for the sides and front, so if front is tempered then sides are.

    The back definitely ain't. I drilled it no problem.

    Back-side :)
    Front and sides are one piece curved corners.

    Arn't the font / sides in this kind of tank acrylic?

    I would just drill the back pane ..........

    I have no idea, I have ask on the forum, how I could tell - glass/arylic, but no one seems to know ?

    Scratch it, doesn't acrylic scratch very easy.

    Must be then, cause I cane that front pane with my mag. cleaner, sure I would have got loads of scratches by now.

    That curved bit is definitely glass. Ok I know for a fact that it's glass but one way to tell I believe is on the photo to the right where it curves you can see how the curve distorts the view, acrylic doesn't do that.

    Hi! Guys!

    Yip! agree With Henk! It's Glass!
    See many of them Around, and bad news
    Know of about 4 of them that cracked
    on the front coners! Seen it with my own
    Eyes! It's Glass!!!!
