Guys this might be a dumb question but what temp do most of you recomend for a reef tank
yes but what is the temp that most corals and fish thrive in
It seems most reefers maintain 26 degrees C.Am I right here guys?yes but what is the temp that most corals and fish thrive in
26 - 28c hotter than that you risk the corals going sexual (usually around 29 -30c) which can overload your water perams, or over 30 tends to harm your corals, it also depletes the oxygen in the water.
Cool so there is a chance my corals start spawning

Not good
Yeah, but imagine if I got babies corals popping up all over the tank
And from sexual reproduction not asexual cutting and slashing
But imagine your water quality with hundreds of thousands of coral eggs/sperm in your tank?
I like to keep my temp at around 25 purely for the reason that there is more oxygen in the water at slightly lower temps.
