My temp stays on 25 Celsius even though everything is turned off except the skimmer & return pump.I am using 3 thermostats & all three is on 25.Can it be that the return pump is faulty(chinese make 4800li p/h)

Your light could be helping to keep the tank warm. Are the heaters turned off?

I think what he is saying is that all his lights are off and the heaters haven't turned on yet his temperature still remains at 25. So in other words I think he is saying that one of his pumps is giving off some heat...

Esmond, keep an eye on your temp after lights out. I very much doubt a return or skimmer pump will give off enough heat to maintain the tank temperature without some kind of malfunction

You sure your thermometer is correct. I have one that started out reading 25 but it now reads 22 even though my temp is still 25...

    are the heaters unplugged?
If its not and you relying on the temp set at 22 degrees to switch off at a certain temp, maybe your thermostat in the heater is kaput.

    Feel the heaters.

Do not type out posts like that, it is rude and offensive, we are more than capable of reading the normal text.

There is nothing wrong with a temp of 25, you should be happy that your tank maintains that temp, your heaters are set too low at 22, they should be set at 25.

Why do you want your temperature to drop? If it goes too low it could be detrimental to the livestock in the tank.
