    First page is pic heavy!
So I finally cracked and with some subtle hints from hubby and @bryan ended up buying a RSM 650.
What can I say...I'm easily persuaded

So the first problem after purchasing the tank was "Where do I put it"? Our place is not the most spacious dwelling so after much deliberation as to whether to sell my RSM 130 or 250, I decided that the smallest in the herd must be culled so my very brief adventure with the 130 will come to an end. Also some furniture needed to be moved around to meet other pieces of furniture and visit other parts of the house :tt2:
So which side to put the new arrival...

Here looks good (after moving a certain piece of furniture to a more discrete location)

Btw, @dallasg has an excellent nose and @Toolboysa has great taste in LFS

The order for the tank was placed on Monday and landed on Friday as it was in sunny Durban. Longest. Wait. Ever!
And earliest morning ever (especially for me who is not a morning person) when the tank arrived an hour earlier that expected on Friday.

Hell no where we going to carry that off the truck with the current number of people at home

Then the master strategist, a.k.a. Dwayne from Jungle Aquatics came to the rescue and cracked the crate on the truck and started offloading the parts piecemeal:

Then getting the tank off the truck:

Yeah, sorry. Couldn't take pictures of that...heart was in mouth and stomach twisting because I was half expecting it to fall so I couldn't look!:lol:
Thankfully they were all strong guys and got it down safely and carried it slowly to the house:

Quick break and then back to work:

My RSM 250 looks miniscule next to it!!!

    :eek::eek::eek:

And that was at 10:00am on Friday.
To be continued: 6:30pm on Friday *dum dum dummmm*

The aluminum frame is remarkably strong despite its weak appearance!

Lots of screws, frame parts and plastic thingies:

I should have mentioned that the trim is black earlier...

    Next: The lights!
Attaching the tubes (sad that there are no LEDs out for this tank at the moment):

I swear I heard angels singing when this was switched on:

So now that the tank is set up (few more things to do though) decided to start choosing dry rock pieces for the aquascape.

    Rocks "artfully" placed on eggcrate.

    To be continued on Monday...

I'm starting to agree. Apart from the 130, I think the dining room table will be the next to go!

    lol! Too true!
The hard part is coming up though...waiting for the tank to cycle :willy_nilly:
