Correct, BUT the infected person MUST take their medicine every day. If this worker has already been treated and is considered safe by a medical doctor I would suggest that you make her take the medicine in your presence every day, thus not only assisting her in being cured, but most importantly also protecting your family from being infected.

True, the strategy here is DOTS, directly observed treatment ie the infected person would have to present themself to the clinic so a qualified sister can observe the administration of treatment. The medication itself makes a person sick hence the non-compliance with taking the pills.
 
Just an aside here - if you fire a person for being ill you will end up with a claim against you via the CCMA
