Hey all...who in your oppinion would be able to build a top quality tank for my setup?...im looking at iether a 1600 x 600 x 650 or a 1200 x 600 x 650. Im in the fourways area and have a conveniant stash to blow on a setup;)

I will also need to get a stand welded up for me and the cabinet i will do myself.
any feedback would be great.

Oh by the way...VIP LFS in Northgate will be in full marine mode by the end of june....FYI, Dunno what quality and prices will be like.

Get hold of Idol Marine, or Lifestyle aquariums, both in your area. Lifestyle might actually be closer.
 
Just come back from Jungle Pet Zone in Broadacres...what a neat little shop..lots of marines and LR. consequintly LR - R75 kg for Malasian. by what i gather thats a fairly good deal?
 
Well, the LFS I buy it from is not known for their fairly priced stuff, but the cheapest I've heard it being sold for was R125.
 
yeah Reef there's no way Mal. rock is R75 per kg. Might be Kenyan and then its R10 bucks to much. PM Rod on here for good LR prices.
 
k,,,the owner said that it was iether malasian or fiji LR so i dunno,one would think that as he orders the stuff he would know.....maybe his mind was somewhere els,must say that he is verry chatty and helpfull with a nice friendly attitude...definately drive past if you get a chance...IMO.
 
I go to Exotic often when I'm in the area. No one will beat them for variety. But the young assistants in the shop suffered from a bad attitude last time I was there.
 
We have that same "syndrome" Gali, with the more "perceivably upmarket" pet stores. Because these kids work in an expensive upmarket shop, they believe that they can be snooty and ubrupt to customers.

But at the end of the day after biting shit from 17 year old nobody's, i get in my double cab and go home, and they catch a taxi.
 
Well Gali you are very lucky to have had any service at Exotics, last time I was there I waited half an hour for one of the youngsters and then the tea girl asked if she can bring coffee to my desk (been there that long i guess) :lol: drove to my fav. one in Benoni and dropped R5K there.. Thats why I don't take the long trek to Boksburg anymore.

I've heard that it should be closer to the end of July also can't wait because they up the road from me.
 
That's very good news as I go there a lot for FW stuff.
 
That shop in Northgate is HUGE. I saw it a few months ago when i was up there for a show.

If the rest of the shop is anything to go by, the marines setup there will be awesome.
 
Bwhahahahaha......well i must say that i definately think i will be supporting Ian at Jungle Pet Zone who by the way has dun all the setup himself in the shop and i have also encouraged him to join us online.:whistling::welcome:
 
hmmm..CB i must admit that i have had a fetish for walking arround VIP for a while now....i can just c that my wallet is gonna take sum serious strain once the marine side is up and running.
