    Hi Guys..

I have just started in this game and have already read more in my life than the last three years!!! This stuff is hectically interesting.

I have started with a marine tank as I always wanted a fish tank but never any help backing... so when I met my work colleague and now a good mate, he helped me out. I bought his old 4ft tank and stand with equipment.

I then proceeded to set it up with some live rock and constructed a cabinate for my new tank.

Made the cabinate out of 18mm Shutter ply (marine ply is DAMN expensive!). The actual cabinate is still under construction but ya.

My tank cycled 3 weeks and then a mishap... the power cut and the sump flooded. About 50 liters or so all over my wooden floor.. :(

After a week trying to get everything better I got it up and running again. Another week later and I had my 2 lil Tomato clowns in. :) They are very cute and really liking it.

Unfortunately my tank is leaking from the seams... still trying to find the leaks and seal... but ya. Need to re-do some plumbing...

Will post some pics of my fish in the tank later.... just gotta get good pics...

welcome...does your sump have enough place for water to fill in the even of a power failure? as that was you initial problem...if not i suggest you sort that out asap before you do or add ANYTHING ELSE as it will give you nightmares in the long run...

Hey and welcome!!!Did your tank stand empty for a long time before you bought it?
If so it would be best to redo the tank. You don't want any surprises later on, it's better to do it now before your tank is stocked up to much

    Thanks guys

Got the leaks sorted out with some hectic plumbing.... hehehe

Will post later. As for the tank structure, very good. To be honest sump cannot hold an extra 50 litres. Sorted the problem with a 3mm hole in the input tube.
