Hello Sir, please could you give me a quote on the following 2 tanks....

Tank 1 - 1500x900x500 LWH + galvanised stand with a C2C running the length of the back with 2 overflows and plumbing to the sump. I have a sump so no need for that...

Tank 2 - 500*500*500 LWH  Again stand C2C and plumbing, will need a sump for this one, standard Mille design....

If you can get your hands on starfire then it would be great for Tank 1 (viewing pane only unless difference in cost is not too much)

Thank You

PS how much is the 25kg salt I use need some this week....

Shaun

Hi Shaun, no problem I will work out the details and get back to you asap.
The 25kg box of Real Ocean salt is R 423.15 ex vat. It will make 757 liters at a S.G. of 1.025
I really must start new thread about all the products we sell.

Wow that works out quite a bit cheaper than the 6.3kg bags - does it have the same zip lock top as the 6.3kg bags and have you got the 20kg buckets yet?

I ordered and it came as 4X 6.3 KG bags ...Sims where do you normally buy your real ocean salt and price???

Shaun the 25.2kg box contains four 6.3kg bags. These bags don’t have the cool zip lock tops that the other bags have but at least they split the 25.2kg into 4, so you can use one at a time. I did receive a whole lot of the buckets of salt but man they sold out so quickly, in fact I only have a few of the 25.2kg boxes left, but I do have loads of the 6.3kh zip lock bags left.
I will get more stock of the buckets and boxes asap.

Andrew whats the price of a 6.3kg Real ocean bag?

Thanks Andrew And how much would it cost to send to JHB?

Andrew please send an invoice for 4 x 6.3kg salt - I'll sort out the payment this week and will ask Afsal to collect.... Thanks

DJ it will be R80 for door to door shipping from my place, however if you are able to go to my supplier in Midrand you can pick it up for free.

No problem SIMS, invoice on its way.

Great thanks buddy will wait for the LR to arrive before i order

Ok Shaun I have worked a little on a design for the bigger of the two tanks. Let me know what you think.
I have done an external C2C overflow, as I prefer to not have the box on the inside. IMO an external box looks far better than internal and is much easier to plumb.
As you can see I decided to add a little more to the drawing to give you an idea on a full set up. I will try finish doing the smaller tank soon. I will email you the quotation soon. Hope this help for now.
Cheers Andrew

Yea that looks good Andrew, just a few things to note, this tank will be an in wall so I have all the space in the world behind it (well almost) I like the external plumbing idea as it gives alot more space in tank and I find the lighting a bit of an issue in my current tank as the C2C shadows quite a bit. I plan to use a removable perspex backing on the tank as i want to be able to see into the tank from the tank room and close it up when it's viewed from the lounge.

I have a sump of 1150x50x50 with your design that I will re-use for this tank and as you know I have the rec- octo skimmer, I would like to add a debrits tank similar to what you got and definatly a water change system similar to what you have.

Man I can't wait for this tank...

Thanks for all the help Andrew.

Don't know have not had a figure yet...

Mille can you change it to 1500x900x600 ? Would this be done in 10mm or 12mm? Can you get your hands on Starfire glass?

Really nice design Andrew...Might be looking at another tank for me;)

So sorry Shaun, but I still have not completed it. I am right in the middle of two large tank installations but am trying to squeeze in some time to sort you out. Hope to give you the info soon. Thanks for hanging in there.
