    Tanks are looking great guys!
Some updates from my side: (1) First time building a sump - not as easy as I thought but that's how you learn :p (2) The water test... dun dun dun... pass! (3) Built & painted a plug board to fit in under the tank (4) Sump up and running with current equipment (5) Transferred some chaeto and caulerpa from other tank (6) Full tank shot

Still loads to do but getting there.

My Feb tank update. Not as far as I would like to have been. Still need to work on the stand and busy planning my scape because I have to move my current DT
(photo below) over when water parameters are in spec and dont want to fiddle around afterwards.

    201802_09.jpg

    4 Feb 2018
    Weeks 4
    50% (10L) WC
Dosing 5 drops stability every other day
Diatom bloom in full swing. gravel and rock fully covered.

    11 Feb 2018
    Week 5
    25% (5L) WC
Dosing 5 drops stability every other day
Diatom bloom gone. Lasted only 1 week after the 50% WC.

Added my 1st LPS coral frag

    Tubipora musica - Pipe organ

Interesting is that this coral is listed as a soft coral. Some will list it as a hard coral because of its red calcareous skeleton. When its polyps are open, it is often confused with the star polyps or clove polyps because of their similar appearance. This one have lumo green polyps. It's a peaceful coral.

I'm waiting for the Nitrates to go down a bit. Tank running just over two weeks now. Small cycle in progress. It was a tank move so expecting it to stabilize within the next four weeks or so. In the meantime I'm planning the scape with a PVC frame at the back. That is taking some planning and designing, measuring all the LR and planning exactly where everyone should go. Hopefully the April update will be the scape and depending on water conditions the start of the move of some corals. ;)

    So my update....
Not really much to report. Been very busy at varsity but it's plodding along slowly.
Stand is now complete and panels mounted. Made some media reactors and have got my skimmer.

Still got lots to do but I have the whole year so:m106:

Hi al. Didnt do much to my tank other than doing a bit of moving corals around and doing a much needed 125l waterchange as my last one was in early December due to our water shortage in Cape Town. I did however have some nice growth on some pieces. I added some close up pics from my January entry and a full tank shot from yesterday and you can see some the growth on some of the pieces. I also added another phosphate removal reactor.
