    Please see up photos of some of the inhabitants and growth in the tank. Please assist in identifying some of the growth. Much appreciated.

    Pic 1 & 3 left of the shrooms, Aiptasia!! get rid of them asap before they spread dude and believe me they will!! If you can remove rock and treat that would be the best way...

    I agree you dont want them they are a bigger pain in the as# than your mother in-law!!!!

    for the aipitasia, take the rock out, and inject the shaft with vodka, try not to get the vodka anywhere else, the aipitasia turns into a ball of goo, but is dead. Let it fall out the rock when it is dead

    Hi Gman and Magman

    So if I understand correctly I remove my live rock and place in a quarantine tank/bucket and inject the individual stems with vodka. Is there any other treatment or alternatives ?

    Hi Zahed, yes you can use a syringe and inject kalk into it

    go for it, just don't use more than 1 or 2ml of vodka at a time, most of the time as the needle gets near the aipitasia, it will sulk away, so best bet is to mark where the aipitasia is before you disturb the rock. If the aipitasia sulks, then just carefully squirt the vodka on the hole where the base was, and check the corpse become goo:thumbup:
