    Hi

Seems i have some white spot issues. I need a tank in which i can keep the coral and inverts while i treat the Display Tank with meds...

Anything around the 1m mark would be good + sump

Rather take the fish to the new tank, leave inverts and rocks in old system. It will be whitespot fee in 4 weeks. Normally extended to 6 to be 100% sure. All fish must be out.

Medicine can leach into the rock and into your silicone and DSB and all other equiptment. Copper based medicine can give clear silicone a blue tint. So rather keep your display medicine free. And take the fish to other tanks.

    Hey

I agree that it is the best option to put them separately, problem is i just dont have any spare equipment to run a second tank. Would you recommend not using the medication at all even though its supposedly reef safe?

try Seachem Metronidazole. my brother used it in his reef tank and it worked pretty good. maybe google it and see depending on whats causing the spots.

Ive used this a few times, its very good !

But it could work out expensive.

I now use the seachem Parragaurd, its absolutly great, i had a purple tang whitch had spot , i treated it for 4 days in a row and it went away, each time you use it the corrals close for about 4-6 hours, but no long term effects.

P.s its a Aldahide medication, a by product of formaldahide, but safe.

    The bottle is about 250ml
    and costs about R229.00
