    Hello all,

My bro is wanting to get into marines(yip, the reef addiction has hit my family:))
He wants to build a nice cube, about 800X800X750(h).

Who is the best guy/shop in cape town to go to and who will not rip him off.
He want the 3 viewing panes in starfire with a centre overflow.

We can get sum1 to do the stand, just need info on tank builders who arent that pricey in Cape town.

    thnks in advance

    Hey Maj

No matter where you go its gonna be a bit pricey as he wants starfire glass.

If starfire going to work out too pricey, then he just wants the main viewing pane with starfire.
What price can he work on more or less for tank alone?

Still quite pricey, i dont see why starfire as the glass wont need to be more than 10 mm thick.

also i would suggest not going that high more something like 600 high, else you will need mh for sps. Will pm you a list of good tank builders as in cape town there arnt much sponsers except sams and naac. Mayb you should ask frans too?

Still crap to work in a high tank, ive got one 500 high tank and one 600 high tank and i even hate working in the 600 high tank. I sent you pm on cheapest tank builder i have found check them out and see what you think, they also built jacquesb's 2 meter tank and 4 years later its still without a problem

my cube is 850l X 650w X 600 h, I have to stand on a ladder to work in it, I would also say 500 high is good enough, I used 10mm glass, built the tank myself, used black silicone. Try build it yourself, muck more sadifaction.

I just got a 900 x 900 x 600 high cube built, rimless with 12mm normal glass. Starfire worked out way to expensive...

best tank builder in the cape would probably be Wayne. His build threads are awesome. I'm flying him down when my new 2600x1200x700 is ready to be built.
