I guess it depends on what you want as filtration.

    I have a 75cm x 45cm x 45cm sump. It only has two compartments.
In the first compartment I have my filter sock, skimmer and algae scrubber.
The second compartment is just my return pump which is t'd-off to my refugium which drains back into the last compartment.

One thing I want to add is try and get the best skimmer you can afford. It really helps in the long run!

It is nice to see another PE member on the forum! Welcome!

Lekker size you got there. Sump is as follow. Chamber 1 will be your inlet with filter sock and your skimmer. Skimmer usually rated for 2x your system volume. So a 500L skimmer will work. A bubble magnus curve 5 or an reeftek ts2. Second chamber is dsb or refugium or full of live rock. 3rd chamber is your return pump and chemical filtration like bio cubes or carbon etc. Thats a basic sump. Make your sump as big as possible because it adds water volume and stability to parameters. An 4000-5000 lph return pump would work great

First, and most important question - - what would you like to keep?
