    I have posted a similar photo a while ago, but I have had some good growth on various coral and it looks even better now.

    Please elaborate on that pic, Waldo? How did you take this pic? What flash? What brought out the flourescence that much?

    Blue excitation filter on the flash, yellow barrier filter on the lens.

    I heard a long spine urchin shouldn't be kept with corals because the spines damage the tissue, what is the verdict in this case?

    PS. Stunning tank.

    Only coral I ever saw being damaged by a long spine was a bubble coral. But looking at a bubble coral it is clear as to why it will be a problem.

    Diadema urchins were found to be crucial in coral reefs. Gone are the days when they were considered pests. They eat / clear areas on the rock, allowing coral spawn to attach to the rock. Without them, the algae on the rock prevents the coral eggs to attach. So vital for new reefs forming.

    In your system they clear coraline algae from overgrowing and sealing the little holes in your liverock.
