They are very prone to get white spot. How big is your tank?

Triven i'm on my second powder blue. I have had a problem with whitespot in the past. But think i've finally beaten it.

As Tobes said powder blue's are very prone to White Spot! So be very careful. They are also VERY bully. So they are going to bully your other fish from time to time. Mine has had a few good beatings. But eventually calmed down.

What ive been doing is feeding Nori with Tropic Marin - Immuvit. For some reason the spots that he had after i got him have gone. And i know Whitespot does have a cycle but this was also immediate. I feel if you give your fish a good diet then they should be able to brush off white spot like it was nothing.

How big is the tank? What other fish do you have in the tank?

Triven, I saw this post you made long ago:

    " i have a sump,protien skimmer via aqua sk200,aqua clear power head,via aqua return pump,eheiam heater,2 t5 reef white,one reef blue by aqua medic in sump dsb.....tank is 3 ft but 200 l"

I'm sorry to say your tank is way too small for a powder brown tang or even any tang for that matter. The PB WILL get white spot because of stress, guaranteed, and then your whole tank will be affected. They need a lot of swimming space.
Please don't add it for the sake of the fish, and the yellow will also stress soon if not unhappy already :(
There are a lot of beautiful fish you can add and if you want to keep tangs so badly then I suggest you get a bigger tank ;)
    That's my advice :wave2:

I am with Tobes on this, dont do it, your tank is WAY too small for tangs of any sort.

Honestly think your fish bioload is too high already for a 3ft Triven

Do you have enough pods in the tank to sustain the manderin? They can deplete a 3ft tank very quickly of it's pod population. How long have you had him?

A goby, algae blenny, midas blenny, chromis, dottyback (aggressive), royal gammar - that's all I can think of now.
Just remember that you cannot overstock as you will have nutrient issues sooner than later, which will cause nuisance algae and stress amongst the fish. A 3 ft tank is too cramped for lots of fish and the tang could have territorial claims and possibly kill new additions with his "blade" :(

triven i agree with what guys are saying here. that tank sounds well stocked already for a 3 foot and you definatley shouldnt look at getting 'larger vollume fish' like tangs or angels.

if you want to bulk the tank up a little and make it more interesting to view why not look at some ornimental shrimp, different crabs, star fish urchin etc etc. lots of options, even simple fan worms or tube nennie make a huge difference to a tank.

you dont have to get new fish, lots of other new things you could look into :)
