Hey everybody. I'm busy with my 1.8 meter system and I'm thinking of getting a few tangs but not the same species, so instead of thinking of what kind of tangs would people like, I thaught I'd rather ask them!

Please can you list me you're favourite 3 tangs...:yeahdude:

    Thanks!!!

    achilies are very difficult...very finiky

PBrown and PBlue should be kept with a uv sterilizer or ozone should be used...i have seen a couple of fish nuked with White spot due to one PB that stressed out.

take care with these fish...very pretty...also the PBlue should be added last

Yup - I can testify to that. I had a PBrown that stressed out (ich followed of course) wipeing out two fox faces, a midas blennie, a lion fish and himself of course. Up till today I swear that I still have a low level infection in my system that the rest of my livestock have built up some kind of imunity to.

My favourites, PBlue, PBrown LOL! Plus Archilles, Purple, Regal, Sailfin, Naso, Clown Surgeon and Sohal

Considering that the normal territory of a single tang is about the size of an Olympic swimming pool in the wild, I must advise against keeping multiple tangs in an aquarium - even a large one such as your 1.8m. I too have a 1.8m tank, and have two tangs, a Yellow tang and a Regal tang. As people who've visited my house recently can confirm, my poor Yellow tang is looking quite bad, with most of it's fins torn due to territorial squabbles.

If I may, rather get one "special" tang which can grow into being "The Boss" of the tank, but don't risk keeping more than one. Even if "successful" and they don't fight, they will still constantly harass each other, and will be more stressed than what they should be - this can lead to various forms of disease, not least of which is a recurring attack of marine Ich.

Yep, sorry dude, i've seen multiple tangs in tanks - not usually a pretty sight, tangs need huge territories and can get rather nasty if threatened.

Ahem - Don't these pics suggest otherwise LOL - I still agree though. My tangs are continually going at each other in a 2.5m system. I must say that they seem to be alright though. Maybe i'm just lucky.

Damn so there's no chance that I can pu in another tang:(

But at least I have a powder blue tang and he's AWESOME!!! Any suggestions what fish I can put in the tank. I thaught about adding 2 heniochus diphreutes (false moorish idol) it's the only reef safe butterfly fish. Any other colourfull fish I can add...
