So, i just connected a UV sterilizer between my return pump and biopellet reactor. Initially i just connected the pipes, but after i noticed it leaking i decided to use some tangit glue to glue the pipes shut, not realizing that the pack instructions mention that you should allow it to dry for 10-12 hours.

So my question is, can i switch pump back on after an hour or two, since my sump is currently out of order, waiting for thie glue to dry. I used a really small amount of glue, just enough to glue the ends of two pipes to the inlet and outlet of the uv sterilizer

Yes you can, 1 hour for each 1 bar of pressure, we use no where near that

If i recall correctly it should be good at low pressure after 2 hours. The 10-12 hours is to get to full strength.

My only worry is the strong fumes. that stuff can put you on a high, i hope it would not affect your tank negatively.

I use it after an hour and no issues, also you using it externally so all good.
I plan to swop my sump and only have 2-3 hours for it to dry
