Acanthurus nigricauda or brown eared surgeonfish i reckon. (edit having seen JB's reply - it is one of the Bristletooth family)

nothing to fear really, they are great algae eaters and will scour the rockwork clean - all good :)

They can be a wee bit aggro towards other tangs, especially if the tank is a little bit small'ish.
BUT - the "normal tang rules" apply. They are not of the MOST aggresive tangs, but, they are still a tang/surgeon...... So, they do tend to be a little bit territorial.

Other than that - they are awesome fish to have. I had one before my sea cucumber decided to drown my fish.

Tangs are only (usually) aggressive to their own species, so two bristletooth tangs could be an issue, otherwise the mostly get on with other fish.

Be careful, it could be a Pencil-eye Juve. I got caught out the same way, LFS telling me it was a bristletooth. The yellow/blue fins make me think so :p

This is a pic of my long LOST monster

Morning all. Talking about Tangs... a little off topic. I've got a PB and a Scopas -- the PB eats like a pig... friend has got a yellow tang too, and he eats absolutely anything! Even the Chaeto! What are the possibilities of getting a YT to eat the Bryopsis? T :)

EDIT: PS. Just read now some people had huge success with :
Royal Urchin, Tuxedo Pincushion Urchin - Mespilia globulus
