Talbot's damselfish

Hi guys

Anyone have any experience keeping a Talbots damsel? Are they even available in S.A?

I had one a few years back that got sold when I sold the entire system, and I got one a month or 2 ago, they are very calm and chilled with nice colour. The latest one I got, unfortunately was harassed by my azure damselfish and six line, I could not catch it, and it unfortunately died in a day or 2, they would not allow it to come out of hiding and would not allow it to eat.

They are not common in the hobby at all, both of mine where bought from wild on pets and if I am not mistaken, I saw some there 2 weeks ago.

Yes they are available, I had one from a shut down but I see they are more frequently imported now, we're very hard to find a few years ago..

I have this special gift... Most fish that catch my eye are either not available, too expensive or impossible to keep

Do you think it will fair well with a few blue/green chromis?

Busy setting up a 5ft. I'm aiming for a fish list that includes:
5 chromis
1 Kole Tang or convict tang
1 Talbots damsel
And if possible a dwarf angel

I'm actually very close to Wild on Pets, will pop in and have a look

I dont see it being a problem at all. especially with such a large tank

Think I saw one today at Benoni Aquariums. Maybe give them a ring and see if it's still available

How long have you had them. I'm tempted to try 2. It would be amazing if they could form a mated pair.

I have had them for more than a year. They are a real pleasure and great addition color wise.
