T8 Lights

    Hi Guys

    I want to know if 3 x t8 Extra Day Hi Glow and 3 x t8 Coral Moons be okay for keeping Soft and LPS corals

    Hey charlv

    I think in order for us to answer this question we would need a bit more info, for eg:
    How many watts per globe or total amount and mabye the depth of your tank.
    IMO t8's for softies should be ok and for some of the more easier to keep LPS, but this would depend on how close they are to the light.

    But lets see what the lighting experts have to say.

    Charl - the common industry agreed "standard" for lighting, is 4 watt per gallon. If you can achieve this with T8's, then you should be able to keep some soft-corals and some LPS.... but, with your tank being 520mm deep - I think you are pushing the limits though......
