T5's switching off

my T5's recently just started switching off a minute or so after I switch them on,can anyone maby tell me what it could be?

I would guess at he actual connection between the bulb and the end cap.. I have the same problem. Did you try to just twist the bulbs around and see if they start up again?.. when last did you clean them?

Okay cool,but if I disconect the endcaps and reconect them the lights come on again,and when it switches off it makes a strange noise at the power supply,any help?

When you say power supply, are you talking about the ballast ? If it's the ballast, either your cables are not connected correctly and you hearing the arcing, or the ballast is shot .

I had a similar problem, mine stayed on for 5 seconds and then switched off....

the problem on my unit was that the wires were not "shoved" deep enough into the ballast ... they were connected, just not properly!
