Ok all the light experts out there. I have a 60cm light unit T5 which currently is holding 4 x T5 globes (not a great make globe). I want to utilise the unit over my new frag setup which is also around 60cm long tank ect. Now i would mostly keep zoas, no sps (as yet) and would like to know which globes would be best (color) and perhaps prices on the geissman and ATI globes? I would obviously like the colours of the zoas to pop with the correct lighing. Currently looks like one tube is a pinkish/white and 2 x blue globes and one white globe. What would you recommend ?

I would use all ATI tubes. I would use 3 aquablue special and one actinic.

on the frag tank, you really do not want the colours to pop, but rather the corals to grow. But then again, to low K rating and algae would love you. I will go with 4 * 10000K tubes. Might even replace 2 with 8800 K available at Voltex. a lot cheaper, if they have in stock.

You want to sell corals with decent colour. No one wants to buy brown corals. I had very good growth with the aquable specials and colours were great.

    for growth, use 10000K
when and if you want nice colours, switch over to actinic
