    Hi Guys

    The tank water level is at 47cm and lights are at 55cm, 2x T5 24W blue, 2x T5 24W Actinic and 2x T5 24W 10K white

I put some candies in the middle of the rock work being afraid the lights are to weak to penetrate to the bottom, well they did open but not like on pictures and thought maybe the lights are to weak. With the P/Tang in there they didn't stay put, after picking them up and place them back I've got "gatvol" so put them in the substrate, Now they are bigger then ever and look the same as pictures, does that mean my lights are ok for this depth and have a few sps about 20cm from the light and they are open and turning green.

opening more could also be a result of flow. Are they in less flow now than when they were higher up?

Candy cane is LPS corals and they require medium light and medium flow. Food is more important than light, so a tiny piece of meaty treat would not do any harm ;)
Eg, I had a LPS dominated tank and used to grate shrimp or hake for them, small peices +- 2-5mm

    Hi guys,

I am cycling a new 4ft tank. I intend to use T5's for a full sps system but no MH's. Would 3 x Actininc and 3 x Blue T5's be enough light? What wattage should I get?

    Lol Dave

But so far my sps is doing fine, not that I know much, they are high up and I think he need to get some 10-12K white too, if I'm correct, they need the white too to grow
