Hey Butcherman.... I got some Reef Glue from Exotics. Seems to work well, but I'm told to use super glue out of the tank. Cure for a few minutes then place in tank. I actually tried the Reef Glue last weekend with a few shrooms and its working ok... (For a first time newby like me, that was quite something.)

But, I saw this post by @PeterL : Sticking Coral frags with "new" plastic - Marine Aquariums of South Africa Might be of interest...

I have no interest in corals/fragging/gardening/flower-arranging. That said , I was fascinated by my buddy Ian using a hot glue gun to attach frags to substrate. Works amazingly well as it cauterizes the base of the frags and thus limits rot.

FOr SPS, I've done the same with hot glue, never had any problems.

Though with GSP's, I would rather use super glue...should stick quite fine underwater as well.

The gel works well. Just scrape the area you want to glue the coral down a bit with an old toothbrush, especially if there is a bit of algae, cyano etc.

You can use putty underwater. I have used superglue gell underwater too, for light pieces.
