    Hi.

I found this snail between some of my zoanthids. Looks like sundial snails.

Would coral rx work to get rid of it?

    Thanks

    Thats a sundial.
Looks like you got rid of it already.
Coral Rx should get rid of any others.
Its good practice to dip any corals before putting them into your tank.

    Yip those are Sundail snails.

    I got plenty of them.
But they have hermits in them. Really small yellow tip hermits.

Those are the least potent of the zoa predators. They move slow, they are easy to spot and remove by hand and cant reproduce without a partner. Just check your corals an hour after lights out to see if there are more

I also found two in my zoas. It looks like they are coming in on the Vietnam corals and hiding in the coral skeletons they grow the zoas on

I collected them at Rocky bay around 1 July. Loads of small hermits all over the rocks. Found it funny to see some in sundail snail shells. So I collected them. But I did made double sure that they where hermits and not snails. The snails loose that sharp pointed opercollum once they die.
Pictures, They too small for my camera.
