    Thanks,
I thought that they were separately mounted.
    Cheers

    hey shane,

I have 4 of them in my setup. they are one unit - mine work fantastic - had them now nearly a year and no problems at all. Many have claimed the make noise etc. but mine a really very quiet. I have more noise coming from my return pump than that of my 4 sunsun's put together.

My reasoning is the price of them - if they do pack up in a year or two then I would rather spend 300 every 2 - 3 years than 1000

Hey Shane, I'm using two of the 5000's in my 1.2 and they are almost too powerful. And very very quiet, I think they got a bad rap from the versions with the steel shanks . . . But definately get the magnet mounts, the suction types are just nasty.

They also come with cones that you can aim. They clip on on the front. you land up getting a bit of a jet stream rather than a wave. Got 2 12000 work like a bomb.

    Thanks guys,
I also have two of the 5000l/hour pumps in my tank and have had no hassles with them. I was considering getting the 12000 l/hour unit, and thought that each pump was able to move. I agree that I need to get the magnets as the suction rubber do not stick onto the abs sheeting in the tank.
    cheers
