Welcome to Masa. A picture of the coral in question would help us diagnose what is wrong and help solve your issue.

    Tagging.

I also bought 1 on Tuesday, still no flowers. I placed mine on the sand, under a rock with mild flow.

What's the ideal for these coral to be happy?

    Where should I place it?

    Light?

    Flow?

I used to also have issues with sun corals. But since I have been feeding reef paste this is what they look like. Black suns the same.

Cant comment on reef pearls. Never used it. Please post a pic of what reef pearls does for your sun coral and how long you have kept it. I am sure it is the amino that triggers the feeding response. Any amino trigger food should give positive feeding response limiting target feeding.
