so which would u suggest is the best sump design in a 3ft tank for a first timer. Name each compartment in order and how to set them up. Iv got many ideas....but im gettting ahead of myself.

A standard 3 chamber sump.
Chamber 1 Over flow from tank and you skimmer.
Chamber 2 DSB (deep san bed).
Chamber 3 Return pump to tank.
Chamber 1 Over flow from tank and you skimmer.
Chamber 2 DSB (deep san bed).
Chamber 3 Return pump to tank.

On the left of the pic...why do u have a shorter wall on either side of the taller wall?

Those are baffels.Helps in preventing micro bubbles from entering the return chamber and thus prevents it from going into your display.

I prefer to have it.Saves you hassels in the long run,ie.once the tank is filled and then you notice the bubbles

In the first compartment of the sump it is fine,but you dont want it in your DT as it will look ugly.
