Sump lights 24/7

hey there crew.was wondering if it is safe to run my sump lights 24/7?and is there any one out there whos doing this?

I run the refuge lights 24/7 but occasionally switch them off for a `breather`.

Mekaeel,

Have you considered running the fuge light in reverse to your main display lights? It helps in keeping the pH stable. But I'm sure you already know the whole CO2 shpiel.

Galibore, ppl run 24x7 lights on fuges with caulerpa for example to make sure the caulerpa doesn't reproduce sexually and take over your tank.

Yes, but does that not impare growth and hence take up less nutrients?

i did run it for some time on a reverse period so theres not a big drop in PH.so guess its fine if its run 24/7 then.well then to allow a breather,was thinking of switching of the lights twice in a week during the day.will that be fine?
