Sump help

    Okay i will hopefully be installing a new sump. will this idea work?

    the sump will be 160cm*50cm*40cm(l*w*h)

    Maybe u should make the surface area for the dsb bigger ... just a thought

    I could reduce the space for the cheato(sp?) so the DSB will become 60cm*25cm(L*W). Would that be better. the DSB is not my main source of nitrate reduction more a safe place for the little creatures to populate.

    it wont be a problem to make it larger and im sure the larger it is the more it will benifit my tank

    Well im addicted to AM so i will tell you that there is nothing better. But yes they are really really awsum and i would never ever think of a differnt skimmer. they not to expensive are they? i will send you a pic later of what the skimmer is able to do:slayer:

    very much so. the blue 3000 runs off the OR3500. the smallER verson is the blue 1000 i think it comes with the OR2500? but could be wrong

    Gaz, I think maximise your dsb area, run the cheato on top of the dsb,

    Hell yes bigger is better so if you can do it.

    But make the dsb as big as possible, it will do more for you than the space the Nitrate reducer etc takes up

    What is the system volume going to be?

    From the scetch-up pic, how will you keep the aglea scrubber in one place?

    You should clean this skimmer more often, it will help it work better;)
