sump filling

    hi all
    My sump has to little water in it what is the best way of filling it up to the level i need it to be @

    using salt water with the correct salinity and temp of your tank

    Also bear in mind that should your level drop in the sump due to evaporation, you will also need to auto top off with RO water

    and that when your return stops, it should cater for the back flow of water as well

    Has the level dropped casue of evaporation or do you just want to up the water volume?
    If it has slowly droppd then youll need to top up with RO water.

    I what to up the water level

    i have an atu

    but if add new sait mix wont my salinity go up

    So long as the salt mix salinity matches your tank and sump no probs will stay the same

    dont mix in your tank :)
    nope if your salinity is the same as your tank, it wont

    So i need to make a small batch of salt mix and add it
    salinity the same as well as temp ?

    one other thing will need to leave the mix over nite or can i mix check and add?

    you need to warm the water, so leave it for atleast 12hr with an airstone and heater...
