Guys I need some help for a new project. I will be setting up a cube (roughly 800 sq) , I need to design a sump (would like the DSB ) but my issue is I need about 250 mm space for my monster skimmer.

That leaves very little space for DSB to be effective , any suggestions ?

How much space do you have below the tank?
Could you maybe have two levels of sumps?

why not make the dsb the whole area, then leave 3cm level and add a glass shelf for the skimmer and return pump, your water level will be a little high but since you shouldnt be fiddling in the DSB its perfect
also you can remove the shelf if you need

Thats a beast for that size tank.
How about a nitrate reactor instead of a dsb?

remote DSB as in a external bucket or container, a old microbelift salt bucket will work great :)
