After selling up a few months back due to just not having the time to care for my cube.

I have decided to start a new reef tank that will hopefully be the perfect system.

This new tank will be the 4th reef system and having learnt from all the mistakes previously i am hoping this new tank will be quieter, cleaner, easier to maintain and more efficient than all my previous tanks.

Below are pictures of my three previous tanks.

i think it is a good size, I would say a leka shallow tank like around 140*75W*55H water level at 50 giving u a leka 525L
Skimmer that pushes at least 1200Lph air
    All T5 lighting
Running Zeo or Bac and Vodka, Filled with sps.

I am still trying to decide which way to go about this new build.

What i really want is a system capable of keeping S.P.S. and clams but with a quarter of the running costs of my last tank.

I have already sourced some stunning LED lights that are completely modular so when i upgrade in a year or so i can just add a few more modules.

I also have some equipment arriving in a few days time from overseas.

If there is one thing i love its STUFF :drool5:

I will be updating this thread with some tank specs and equipment pics in the next few days .

I would love some feedback on tank sizes.

    i am thinking maybe
    80 x 80 x 50 or 100 x 100 x 40

    I am leaning towards a clam dominated 100 x 100 x 40 .

I am leaning towards a clam dominated 100 x 100 x 40 Ye I would say its the better option because u dont need such intense light because its more shallow.

The JNS stuff is still in the works will be putting in a order once they confirm pricing and pump specs on the smaller skimmers and reactors.

Will post some pics when they arrive.

    I have decided on a 100 x 100 x 40 rimless clam dominated system .

I am also going to be running a large fuge that will be on a reverse lighting period, will be running the fuge has a second tank which will be viewable at night .
