stuff on live rock

    What stuff is ok to be on live rock and what stuff should i remove from live rock?:whistling:

    Do not remove ANYTHING imo. Whatever is dead, will fall off and be taken out by your clean up crew. You will also find things popping out from liverock that you didn't even think was there - but this is normally nice things like polyps, macro algae etc...

    Is your tank still cycling? If so, remember that part of cycling is the die-off in the LR. Thus you have water params changing all the time. If something dies, then it generates Ammonia. Then the bacteria eats the ammonia and produces Nitrite. Then other bacteria eats the Nitrite and converts it to Nitrate. Then other bacteria make the nitrate into nitrogen gas, which just evaporates into the air... (IN A NUTSHELL...;))

    So leave the LR to do it's thing, and cause this bacteria cycle to happen...

    And - perhaps - IF you see any pest anemone's (ie. aptaisia), please ask us - and we will guide you in removing this pest.....
