    Well hello Fellow reef nuts,

Grab a beer and have a read at where my hands have been in the last week.. Also please excuse the pictures, i am no professional and my phone works just fine,
if you want better pics, you are welcome to come and visit and take them yourself.

As some of you know i was running a BOYU TL550 LED for about a year, honestly i reccomend this system to anyone wanting to start this amazing hobby, its a great way to learn!
    any way,

I obviously inevetably had to eventually to go bigger...

after MUCH reading and research i found this AWSOME system from Yuppie Pets, perfect size for me, can comfortbly keep most fish, is a stunning 220 Litre 900MM X 580MM X 450M all in one rear filtration tank,

and here it is the day it arrived:

    Rear Filtration,
Media reactor, Skimmer, caddys and return pumps, all fit perfectly and quality is honestly some of the best i have seen!

Here is a few pics of the Skimmer, reactor and caddys:

right, time to stop looking at it all out of water, and get this system running!

the problem is, the BOYU is in the place the IA system must go :m53:

    well here goes nothing:
at this point, i have to thank DallasG, the paitence you have is amazing, let me explain i am no professional reefer, quite the contrary, so Dallas, felt the brunt of my 3am calls and 1million msgs a day, thank you @dallasg

    To be continued......

    Ok,
    the PREP...

    What i did was,
drain as much of the water i could from the boyu into buckets, and transfer all the coral to one,
fish and inverts to the other, Rock to the last
and then keep as much of the water as possible to start the IA system with,

Boyu Moved and IA system in place,
    [IMG]

TIME TO START SCAPING!!!:whistling: and FILLING!!!:peroni:
dont laugh at the reflection porno shorts, we have all been there!

    WAAAAATERRRRR!!!!!

At this point, i had all the livestock in buckets for around 1 hour,
i decided to leave them there, heater, airstone, and small wavemaker and let the tank run for about 3 hours, just to settle in abit,
water was still cloudy this was due to me adding another bag of Red Sea Live Sand, as well as useing the sand from the BOYU,

Poor Clyde all on his own...

    All livestock in i think??

After a total of 5 hours,
this is what i was rewarded with..

I have the tank under a AquaMedic Ocean Light 6x 39watt
    [IMG]

it has been running now for 8 days,
in the transfer i lost 1 Pom Pom Crab and a Midas Blenny,
the midas blenny was new to my boyu, got him just before i got the new system, he wasnt doing well, and the transfer was just abit much for him,
Look all in all for someone that knows less than most about this hobby, i didnt to badly at all..
i by the way did this ALL ALONE,
there was no one in my hose helping me, wife was at work, DallasG was on whatsapp trying to calm me down.

all in all a MASSIVE success...

    Here is the tank Today..

that is a very nice upgrade.
The Yellow tang would be grateful for the extra swimming space.

Had to move so went from a 4ft to a small cube. No issues there.

Moved to new place now and having a 80 x 80 x 50 cube built. Will transfer from small cube to this. Will add some base rock so worried of a cycle.

I added rock and more sand, its all good, just be sure, you use AS MUCH of the water from the old tank as possible!

I added 4kg rock and a full bag of red sea substrate

    Thanks @Spearo

just thought i would post an update, tank is runnig seriously well!!
honestly the ease of maintenance is incredible,

for all those wanting to go "topless" BE SURE to invest in an ATU.
all those going T5, you DO NOT need a heater!! hahahahah

this is how it looks today!
