strange Sponge Bob weener Id needed

    difficult one this. I need to know what this is please. Latin and common name as I would like to read up on this. @Lord_Blackadder or anyone?

    Looks like a sea pen (probably Cavernularia sp.) at a glance. When I stayed in R-Bay the dredger used to spit them out on the beach sometimes. Theoretically possible to keep in a tank, though needs a deeeeep sand bed.

    Yeah, one of those retarded regulations that make absolutely zero sense. Super abundant in most of their range. By biomass, probably the most plentiful cnidarian aside from jellyfish. These things occur in fields (with dozens per square meter) kilometers across. They're fast growing. Also found mostly found below scuba depths and have virtually no commercial or recreational value.

    Kinda makes you wonder if the lawmaker actually knew what a sea pen was...
