I noticed today that my one clow grabs the food, swims to my hammer coral and spits the food onto the hammer.

I have no idea why he does this, when the coral releases the food he just grabs it again and spits it back onto the coral.

    Anyone experienced this before?

Quite normal. Clowns often try to feed their host anemone/coral.

My Maroon Clown is clearly hosting my Hammer and he does this to my Hammer coral every time I feed the tank. He spits the foood at it and tries about 5 times then gives up and eatts it himself (if my wrasse hasn't consumed it yet)

The weird thing is he's not hosting the coral.
