    Hi All,

Planning on aquiring a 5ft or 6ft tank...still reading up on as much info as possible.
Have read some of the posts which has been helpful.

Have had tropical fish for the past 30 years on and off....more on.

Decicided on a marine tank after i snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef in April.

    hey ricochet welcome to masa:)

great to hear that you are keen on starting an interesting part of fish keeping, once ypou convert over to the dark side there is no going back:) its also great to hear you are researching before getting a tank, its by far the best way to go:)

i think mnd is planning a jhb meet of the jhb reef club members, why not join them (give me a sec and I'll look the thread up for you) so that you can meet some guys and see som e of their tanks. i did that alot when I started out and i learnt a huge amount from it:)

also if you are planning on starting out and need a tank, keep you eyes open for a good quality second hand tank, they often come up and you can save yourself a few $$$ (or lots of R's if you prefer)
