i got a nice rock with a fair bit of green star polyps on it.
however during transport some of the polyps have pulled away from the rock.
how can i stick them back on? what can i use that wont harm them? or my tank?

Use an elastic band of fishing line to tie them gently back down, they will soon regrip.

    Hey Furbs,

These things grows like wild fire, so I would suggest that those pieces that has broken off, glue them to another rock (I use superglue as well), as that place that they got scrapped off should be filled by other GSP within a few weeks..

    Dude,

I was one of those guys that dreaded putting it into my tank, they just overtook everything, I mean almost every piece of LR in my tank has some piece of GSP growing on it.

Well my tank is not doing that well at the moment (due to lazyness) so they seem to be under control. But in my honest opinion this is one of the easiest corals to grow.

I decided not to put any zoas in my tank cause I am scared my GSP will grow over them. Does anyone have any GSP growing next to zoas?

I know that they don't sting other corals as they grow all around my Acro's

they sting other corals, they will kill corals that are weaker than them!

mine also grows like blady weed, i gave raven some the othe day and last month i threw away some that i scraped off with a blade, i place those big pieces of LR with it on th substrate, because i dont want them to cover all my other rocks

my zoa's suffered near them and fingerleather, colt didn't what them close, fox coral kaked 6 love , but recovered ater few weeks

blue polyps also didn't like to be close, but yellow polyps seems to handle it

maybe mine is a bit diffrent from yours, does yours have a purple base, or the same base color as the polyp self?

Eish.. so some GSP grows faster than the ones I have... Hectic... glad I don't have them in my tank.

With regards to my tank... its nothing fancy.. and I have neglected my tank for quite a bit for the past few months as I was studding, and trying now to get it on track. But as I need to get my posts up, I will see what pictures I can take tonight and then create that thread with my system

Weird I have never been able to get them to grow in my tank. I have a frag that is thumb size from day one, and hasn't increased in size, ever.

my colony is about the size of my palm. and on a separate rock in my tank that is the size on my fist.. just moved it out onto my substrate and will keep an eye on it for the time being... i have a finger leather in my tank and dont want him to suffer.
i think i have the same as lanzo, purple base with purple stems and the fingers are purple changing to green at the tips.

if it has a white center then its not that aggressive and wont spread so fast than those solid green with long polyps.
