So... the move went very well.
@Ayoob did a fantastic job and i am extremely grateful that he and his cousins were there to help. i would not have been able to do this without them

here is how the day went:

08h30 - i went and got more RO water from @Perky pets emptied them out LOL :tt2:
09h30 - met @Ayoob at @JAJA 's to start the move which had to be done in TWO trips - first the tank and the sump with all the bits and pieces.. and 2nd trip was for the cabinet. we then also went to get some last minute supplies from Sam's and home we went..

by the time we got the 2nd trip home it was lunch time - so my hubby got us all some Mcd's :p

we had to move my current tanks out of the way and remove some water from them, and then the fun started..

So here goes - what everyone has been waiting for - THE PICS!

so by 19h30 - the tank was filled and i had mixed in the salt - additives required and the sand was in.. i have about 30 kg's sand and 30 kg's live rock in there.. ( i think i may have to get more Live rock) ran 3 heaters ( two in sump and one in tank) to get the temp up.

poor Ayoob and the team had to go home as the wive's weren't too happy

my hubby and i then went on.. we added the live rock and scaped. i cleaned up the lounge as there was water everywhere (used about 15 towels to mop up)

23h00 - live stock had to go in - temp was fine as well as the salinity.

finaly decided to call it a day at midnight!

What livestock did you add in, and how's it doing this morning?

Biggest thing now is just to wait and let the tank settle. Add some Special Blend or similar as per instructions, do your RO top-offs etc., but nothing else.

@the fish yes indeed - lots of space.. dont want to put in TOO much live rock as want some nice swimming space as well for the fishies.. but i think another 10kg's would be good... would LOVE to get a realy nice BIG pieced to put in the middle.

Your mandarin and sand sifting star may have problems feeding - not enough food for either of them being an essentially new set-up.

What are your new tank dimensions - it looks very deep. I think a nice shoal of something (when it is ready) would look awesome.
