Hi guys. Is anybody running an STC1000 Temperature Controller with a Chiller and Heater connected to it? If so,

    1. What Temperature have you set yours to on F1

    2. What is your Differential set to on F2 and

    3. What is your Compressor Delay set at on F3

    4. What is your Chiller setting set to, to come on, on the chiller itself as it has its own automatic thermal switch?

    5. What is the Heater set to, to come on, on the heater itself as it to has its own automatic thermal switch?

    6. What is the best recommended settings on all above questions.

    Thanks in advance

What Temperature have you set yours to on F1 - 25 degrees

    2. What is your Differential set to on F2 and - 0,5 degrees

    3. What is your Compressor Delay set at on F3 - Only using a fan in my sump, never gone over 26,5 even in the heat of summer (My tank is open top which probably helps)

    4. What is your Chiller setting set to, to come on, on the chiller itself as it has its own automatic thermal switch? - As per above

    5. What is the Heater set to, to come on, on the heater itself as it to has its own automatic thermal switch? - If I recall correctly both my heaters are on 26 degrees, my thinking was if the STC ever packed up I would not have a disaster that way

Hi guys. Is anybody running an STC1000 Temperature Controller with a Chiller and Heater connected to it? If so,

    1. What Temperature have you set yours to on F1. 26

    2. What is your Differential set to on F2 and 1 deg.

    3. What is your Compressor Delay set at on F3. 1

    4. What is your Chiller setting set to, to come on, on the chiller itself as it has its own automatic thermal switch? 25 , but only comes on when STC switches it.

    5. What is the Heater set to, to come on, on the heater itself as it to has its own automatic thermal switch? 26

    6. What is the best recommended settings on all above questions.

Basically whatever works for your tank. The advantage of the STC is that you have a single temperature controller that does not have your heater and chiller working against each other.

    Thanks in advance

Hey guys. Thanks for the responses. I'm gonna reset my STC as it was set at a differential of two which looks like is to much. I'm gonna change that to 1 maybe and see how it goes from there.

As I am new to having a STC Controller I need some advice please.
My STC is currently registering 27deg, my chiller 26deg, my other two thermometers 25.9deg and 25.7deg.
    Questions are:
    1. Which do I believe.
    2. Has anyone had to calibrate thier STC to correspond with their chillers thermometer or digital thermometer?
    3. Could it be that the STC is in fact out and needs calibration.
    4. Is there an accurate thermometer out there that I could use to check temperature against the STC and Chiller to make they are accurate?
    BTW,
I have a new Jager Heater and the LFS where I bought it says it comes calibrated to 26deg so I haven't changed its setting as yet.

    Thanks in advance
    M
