Awesome dude, glad you did not make the common connection mistake that I get many calls about :)

Excuse the terribly noob question, well that's cause I am one! :m12:

But what is the point of this gadget? I mean if your heater (built-in) automatically comes on when temp drops below your set value and you chiller will (built-in) automatically turn on above a set value? unless I am completely misunderstanding what this machine does. :whistling:

Common connection mistake... I would rather call it useless instruction/wiring diagram for most people... Willing to put my Masters of Electronic Engineering degree on the line here. Andre, do you need someone to make a little insert you can include when SELLING the STC-1000? Just a thought...

I bet you're referring to the same common connection mistake I made (I don't have a Masters of Electronic Engineering degree, but I'm pretty deft at wiring a plug ).

Luckily Andre@ReefAquatics sorted me out quickly, thanks André. But maybe a simple insert will save you a few calls / callbacks.

Thanks. I am sure this will help people. I just did the connections straight on the STC as I did not want to worry about isolating / water proofing another connection block.

Exactly what I did wrong, probably because of my eagerness to play with new toys.
