Good luck Marius. If you can, have it drilled for an overflow and put in a big !@# sump.

    Hi Marius.

Not sure on the origin of that dead rock, but would strongly advise you to soak it for some time in RO water to get rid of nutrients.

Lol - if it was up to me it would've been running long ago. Im up on the dirst dloor and the stairs are to narrow to get the tank up there. I have a crane truck coming early tmrw morning to lift it onto the balcony and through the window

Im planning on putting it into the tank when I start it up - run it for six weeks and then only ad my live rock and eventually transfer the rest of my livestock when the parameters all all good. This rock used to be in the tank - there were absolute no coral - just puffers and eels

Add the live rock from the beginning. It will seed the dead rock and help the cycle

Here's another question....Just got the sump back from the glass people ( the bottom was cracked). Now...Do I put live rock in or do I go for a refumigum ? I was thinking live rock......but what will the best option be ? It's a fairly large tank and I want it to run as smooth as possible using the best options from the start.
