    Hi all

So after a few months i will start on my reef tonight.

    1M*60*60 Idol marine tank
Small sump compromising of DSB and refugium cannot make it bigger due to space constraints
DNW 200 with Pin wheel impeller and new venturi
    1*150w MH
6* 39W T5's compromising of - 2*Actinic, 2*14000K and 2*8800K All lights will be going into a hood that will be mounted above the tank.
    2* 6000Lph seios
    1*3000Lph quiteone Return pump
DIY ATO connected to ATO chamber in the sump
30Kg of mixed liverock. This liverock has been curing for a few months so will be ready for tank.

To be added in the coming weeks/Months:
    Carbon and phosphate reactors
HOB 757Lph aquaclear filter that will be running purigen
    2*5000Lph Sun Sun power heads

My intention with this tank is to have SPS as well as a few LPS and softies.

    Pics to follow on Tuesday.

Great Ziyaad, just 1 question, why have you opted to run just 1 halide.I presume you would centralise the halide. Why not just add more t5's that way you can add diffrent kelvin rating tubes, enhancing the colour of your corals more.

Great question aslam. Reason its only 1 is because its in a pendent so yes it will naturally be centralized. I love the shimmer effect MH gives so it will be only on during the evenings for viewing pleasure, T5's will be for growth.
I already have 6 T5's with different colours, Do i really need more in addition to what i have.

Hello Ziyaad,if you running the halide, you dont need extra t5's,I meant if you leave the halide, you could of added extra t5,s.How high up from the water level are you mounting the t5's.

    Im a bit confused here:whistling:

Lighting hood will not be too far away from the water i am intending to have it on rails so that i can increase or decrease the height depending on the needs
