    People still cycle tanks? :tt2:

Have a look at things like special blend to assist with bacteria populations and other products also. If you do a small bio load increase and keep an eye on ammonia you dont need weeks of cycling

If you are using well cured live rock and there is very little die-off during transportation then cycling should be a lot easier, I'm a big fan of using Seachem Stability in new tanks.

I would personally let it cycle for four weeks if you have some live rock in there and for 6 weeks if its a brand new setup. Just my personal opinion. You may throw in Seachem Stability during the cycling period, along with a small pinch of flakes every now and then.

    Cycling:
Build of bacteria population and reduction of ammonia, stability of parameters.
    ETA: ~ 6 weeks

    Seachem stability, special blend etc:
build of bacteria population and reduction of ammonia, stability of parameters.
    ETA: ~ 2-3 days
