    Hi All

Thought id post a pic of my newly setup RSM 130d. Coming from 15 years of tropical fish keeping, I wish I had started marine a long time ago.

The setup is completely standard apart from the sicce nano 2000lph power head for more flow.

Any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated. 20140304_150523 (600x800).jpg

Yes standard red sea filtration. Just added a bag of chemipure above the ceramic beads.
Still thinking about taking the beads out and building a rack.

if the beads are kept super clean with filterfloos they wont be an issue, these will be your biological filter

Hi Ricky, awesome tank. You could raise the overflow slightly so the teeth stick halfway out of the water. That way you get good surface skimming, clearer water and more light in the tank.
    All the best.

Thanks guys. Will keep the pics coming as it progresses. I will adjust the surface skimmer too.
As for the nem he has moved all the way up to the top. We had load shedding for 4 hours today, I did have a battery Air pump in there as well as airating with a bucket myself. Not sure if that was the cause.
I fed him and he ate. He looks pretty happy there though.

Love the royal gramma. And man that bright green coral is amazing colour!!! Must be stunning under the actinic blue lights.

Flame Scallop is beautiful. It can and will flop around in your system. Just check that it does not end ontop of other corals.

Sad part is that they almost never last long in systems. Does not matter the size. They all end up dying rather quickly. Not sure if reef paste will help, or exactly what they want. They are filter feeders.
